When the redesigned EV6 electric SUV most certainly goes on sale later this year, here’s what to anticipate from it.
Later this year, the aggressive 2025 Kia EV6 electric SUV will receive a makeover. Two new pictures have surfaced that show off the redesigned front and back lighting. When the updated EV6 most likely arrives on sale later this year or early next, here’s what we can anticipate from it.
With a 77.4-kWh battery pack, the current EV6 can achieve a range of up to 310 miles 225 horsepower, and 258 lb-ft of torque (with rear-wheel drive). Alternatively, it can achieve a range of up to 218 miles with 576 horsepower and 545 lb-ft of torque when equipped with the high-performance dual-motor, all-wheel drive GT trim. It is expected that the 2025 model will receive an enhanced 84 kWh battery pack (which its brother, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, already received in its most recent update). Although we don’t expect performance output to differ significantly across the trim range, that should help increase range figures by a few miles.
The redesigned external design of the EV6, which features more angular lighting up front to better complement the brand’s more recent vehicles, such as the recently unveiled global EV5 electric SUV and K4 small sedan, is depicted in good detail in the two new teaser photographs. Along with a modification to the lighting graphics, the rear end appears to have undergone a minor makeover. Although there isn’t much to see inside just yet, we expect a revised dashboard design and an improved screen unit. According to previous corporate presentations, the updated EV6 should be available for purchase before the end of the year.
